With hearts full of sorrow yet overflowing with love, we announce the passing of our beloved Nathan Torres, who left this world far too soon at the age of 10 after bravely battling osteosarcoma. On October 4, 2025, Nathan left to be with the Lord, joining his father, Mario Torres, in eternal peace.
Born on January 11, 2015, Nathan brought light, laughter, and love into every life he touched. He was a vibrant and free-spirited soul who never let his illness define him. His smile lit up rooms, and his playful, funny personality made everyone around him feel joy, even in the hardest of times. He was a fighter-resilient, brave, and filled with love.
Nathan is survived by his devoted mother, Emily Garcia, who was his greatest champion and source of strength. He is also deeply missed by his best friends-Sophia Gonzalez, Ean Corrales, and Alexis Ruben Gonzalez-who shared in his laughter, gaming adventures, and unforgettable childhood memories. His grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many cousins also mourn the loss of their precious Nathan, whose presence brought so much warmth and happiness to family gatherings.
Nathan loved family time more than anything. Whether it was a dinner together, a movie night, or simply being surrounded by loved ones, he treasured every moment. His favorite foods included juicy steaks, trips to Cici's Pizza, Oreos, and his all-time favorite-cookies and cream ice cream.
An avid gamer, Nathan spent countless joyful hours playing Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, and Call of Duty with his friends. He found connection and adventure in those virtual worlds, always playing with a laugh and a fierce competitive spirit. He was also a huge music lover, often vibing to the sounds of Juice WRLD, XXXTentacion, and Peso Pluma-music that spoke to his deep and thoughtful soul.
Nathan also enjoyed collecting Pokémon cards, each one cherished and organized with care. He loved school, where he showed curiosity, kindness, and a joy for learning that inspired both his peers and teachers.
Nathan's life, though short, was rich in love, laughter, and purpose. He showed us what it means to be strong, to find joy in the little things, and to face each day with courage and a smile. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and in the memories we hold so dearly.
A celebration of Nathan's life will be held to honor the beautiful mark he left on this world. Though he is no longer physically with us, his light will forever shine in those who love him.
Rest in peace, sweet Nathan. You were our sunshine, our hero, and you will never be forgotten.
