Norbert Klumpe

Norbert Klumpe, 88, of Maywood, Nebraska, died October 24, 2024 at his home in Maywood, Nebraska. He was born April 24, 1936 in Rural Hayes County (White City), NE, son of Henry G. and Martha (Hahn) Klumpe. He was a member of St. William's Catholic Church, in Wellfleet, Nebraska. On April 12, 1956 he was married to Betty Jean Werkmeister, at Wellfleet, Nebraska. To this union they had one son, Randy. Norbert was involved in farming and ranching his whole life, he was a pilot, enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a good neighbor to all. Survivors include wife, Betty Jean Klumpe of Maywood, NE; son, Randy (Penny) Klumpe of Maywood, NE; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Norbert was preceded in death by parents, Henry G. and Martha Klumpe, his sister, Donna Black and his brother Norman Klumpe. Register Book Signing will be held, Monday, November 18, 2024, from 5:00-6:00 pm at the St. James Catholic Church, 313 East 6th, St, Curtis, Nebraska with a rosary to follow at 6:00 pm. Memorial Services will be held at St. James Catholic Church, Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 10:30 am with Rev. Thomas Wiedel officiating. Interment will take place in the Maywood cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Maywood Fire and Rescue or the Hayes County Fire department.
