With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Noreene Hilton Corbitt on February 7, 2026 in Kearns, Utah. She was born June 12 , 1930 to John Thorpe Hilton and Thelda Bradley in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended and graduated from West High School in 1948. She married Lawrence O. Corbitt February 18, 1950 in Winnemuca, Nevada. They shared 41 years together until his death in 1991. Their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River Temple May 25, 2002.
During her life time mom was blessed with 5 children. She helped support the family working different jobs including waitressing, sewing for Beehive Clothing, providing child care from home, and working in her friend's beauty shop.
Mom was a very social and fun loving person. She enjoyed spending time with friends. One of her favorite activities was going dancing with dad.
In her later years she enjoyed reading, word puzzles, and watching ice skating and Dancing with the Stars. She was skilled at crocheting baby blankets, and many babies of her family and friends found comfort being swaddled in one of her beautiful blankets. She loved playing cards and Farkle and just spending time with people she loved. She was a kind and generous woman who always helped others even when she had little to give.
Mom is survived by her daughters Kathy Gray, Vicky Vause (Kent), Lynette Ellis (Bob), Sheryl Burningham (Curtis), son David Corbitt, brother Ted Hilton, 20 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, and 41 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence O. Corbitt, Son in law Ray Gray, grandson Jason LaSalle, her parents, 3 brothers, an 4 sisters in law.
Funeral services will be held February 20, 2026 at Memorial Redwood, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Viewing will be held at 1:00 pm and funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow at Memorial Redwood.
