Norma Bock Obituary
Norma Louise Bock, aged 75, passed away in her home in Barrington, IL on July 28, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Blythesville, Arkansas to John and Naomi (Freeman) Carson.
Norma began her career as a cosmetologist at Osco Drug in 1965 and, after earning her bachelor's degree, achieved her dream of becoming a schoolteacher in 1985. She went on to earn two master's degrees, before retiring to travel extensively, experiencing the cultures and peoples around the world.
Norma married Edward Bock in 1966, and they recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.
Norma is survived by Edward, son Phillip (Astrid) Bock, son Matthew (Shannon) Bock, and her mother Naomi Hewitt. Her grandchildren include Sarah, Natalie, Samantha, Henry, and Simon.
Norma was preceded in death by her father, John Carson, her stepfather Raymond Hewitt, her sister Sharon Carson, her brother Gordon Carson, and her sister Gina Magolski.

Norma was a lady with grace, intelligence, kindness... simply put I am so glad she touched my life! She touched so many life´s in such a positive way ! Norma´s legacy lives!

My prayers go out to the Bock family at this difficult and sad time. Norma was such fun to be around. She was feisty, funny and such a lovely person. She will be missed! May you be blessed by your wonderful memories of her!

Norma and I spent a wonderful afternoon together looking at murals, eating lunch and shopping. I took this picture of her that day. It will always be special to me. I hope it will be special for you too. Sending prayers and love to your family. Love, Wendy
