Norma J. Cox, 80, of Ripley, MS passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 at home with her family by her side, She was born of August 29, 1942 in Ripley, MS the daughter of Charlie and Josie Booth.
Norma attended Line High School in Ripley where she was very involved in school activities as a cheerleader and home coming queen. After graduation she attended Fosters school of beauty, and obtained her Cosmetology license. She later fell in love with William M. Cox and relocated to Battle Creek, MI. Until her passing.
Norma worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs for several years, Interbake Foods, and ADL as an home companion. She was a member of Maranatha Original Church of God. Norma loved her church and her church family. She enjoyed dancing, sports, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Norma had a kind heart and will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, William A Cox; sister, Mary A Barnett; daughter, Mildred L Montes; sons: Michael S (Renee) Cox and Carlton T Cox; grandchildren, Akeem NW Clarke, Meca S Cox, James M Picciuto, Josh Pittman, and Michael S Cox; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and, friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Josie Booth; brother, Charles Booth; sister, Lois Spears.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Maranatha Original Church of God with the service to immediately followed at 12:00 PM with Pastor Geraldine T, Richardson officiating, Burial will be at the Fort Custer National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
