Norm Jean Johnson, 90, of Marietta, Ohio, died on Monday, September 15, 2025 at her home. She was born on March 18, 1935 in Washington County, Ohio, daughter of Arthur J. and Florence Ludwig Hart. In her younger days Norma was a Nurses Aid working in several nursing homes in the area. She was Christian by faith and attended the Pinehurst Christian Church. She was first married to Frank E. Phillis on March 31, 1954 and he died on February 27, 1999. She was later married to Howard Johnson on August 25, 2006 and he died on November 13, 2020. Norma is survived by a daughter, Pamela Hendrickson and husband Jay of Waverly, WV; two sons, Clarence "Gene" Phillis and wife Dawn of Bay Saint Louis, Miss. and Roy Phillis and wife Robin of Stockport; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; a brother, Hubert Hart of Zanesville; three sisters, Linda Swain and husband Terry, Blinda Funk and husband Denny of Cutler and Bonnie Bonar of Belpre. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Arthur Hart Jr., William Hart and Jarrell Hart; and a sister, Lenora Coler.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 19, 2025 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with a family friend Jerry Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the funeral home on Friday and online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
