Norma J Kaumeyer

Norma Jean (Ruff) Kaumeyer, 93 of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at her residence. Norma was born on August 18, 1930 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Clarence Edward and Sarah Christine (Graf) Ruff. Norma was a wife and mother. She also was an accomplished seamstress and cook. She baked for the Lancaster School District cafeteria after raising her children. She was an avid walker and routinely worked out at the YMCA. She was a member of Olivedale Senior Citizens and Country Swinger Square Dance Club. She was a founding member of Redeemer Lutheran Church & School, Sunday School teacher, and bus driver for the school. Norma was a 1949 graduate of Lancaster High School.
Norma is survived by her daughters Carol (Craig) Shull and Joyce (Chris) McKinney, daughters-in-law Linda Kaumeyer and Beth Kaumeyer, grandchildren Sarah Shull, Heidi (Allison) Shull, Benjamin (Emilee) Kaumeyer, Michelle (Greg) Willenkin, and 6 great grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 69 years, William H Kaumeyer, infant daughter Sarah Jane Kaumeyer, sons Michael Kaumeyer and Dean Kaumeyer, brothers Paul Ruff, Herbert Ruff, Earl Ruff, Charles Ruff, and sisters Eleanor Fisher and Florence Schaffner.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1400 Concordia Drive, Lancaster with Reverend Doctor John C Davidson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Church. Dignity Cremation has taken place through the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME.
