Growing up I always had an admiration for Norma's intellect and genuine interest in people. Even as a young boy, when I did speak with her, she listened with real interest. Her legacy lives on.
Blessings to her entire family.

Norma was my mother in law & I loved her so much! I was such a nervous girl when we met (19) & she put me at ease time & time again. She was the first to show me Mt Rainier by plane -- in HER plane, a Cessna 140. She gave me medical advice, cooking help, gardening info, incredibly thoughtful gifts (who else would know that _French for Cats_ was so perfect a book to me?) & with none of the standard mother in law drama included. I can't quite put into words how in awe I was, am, and will be... of her great beauty, grit, and gracious aid with so many things. I want to openly say thank you to her for all the talks in which I did all the talking, for my apple trees, for Romeo, "He's quite a cat!" Most of all, thank you for having Andrew. You raised an incredible man, one I will take care of & cherish forever... So many wings did you love: hummingbird's wings, Catwings, plane wings. Now that you no doubt pilot the wingspan of an angel, be free in the sky, O lady who loved to fly
