Norma Liming ObituaryNorma Theresa Liming, of Oakhurst NJ, passed away at 7:30 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was blessed with 97 years of life.
Born in Long Branch, Norma spent her childhood in Sea bright, then years in her home in Eatontown and finally to a retirement community in Oakhurst.
Norma worked as a seamstress and as an operator for Bell Telephone. Putting her seamstress skills to good use, Norma sewed parachutes in Red Bank during WWII. She also worked at Bendix doing soldering before marrying a handsome Army vet and dedicating her life to raising a family.
Norma was proud to be a communicant and volunteer with St. Dorothea's Church for over 70 years.
Norma has gone to be with the love of her life, her husband Robert who's been waiting for her for over 20 years. She also joins her son, Robert, who passed in 2023, as well as her parents, sisters and brothers.
Keeping her memory alive are her daughters, Patti and JoAnn and her son Christopher.
Also honoring her are all her grand and great grandchildren, countless family members and those who simply knew her as Nana, the extraordinary matriarch who gifted four generations of people with the true meaning of unconditional love.
Join us in saying goodbye at Fiore-Buckley Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road in Oakhurst, Ocean Township from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 5.
