Norma A. Frischkorn Palmquist (née Amore), aged 94, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Largo, Florida. Born on July 29, 1931, in Manhattan, New York, Norma lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and faith.

After graduating from nursing school, Norma pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), dedicating much of her professional life to caring for newborns in the nursery at St. Francis Hospital. Her work reflected her nurturing spirit and commitment to helping others.

Norma's life was enriched by her love of traveling, knitting, and baking. These hobbies brought joy to her days and to those around her. She was known for her loving and kind nature, always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether caring for elderly family members or supporting young adults during challenging times, Norma's generosity left an indelible mark on many lives.

A woman of deep faith, Norma had a strong belief in Jesus Christ and was devoted to sharing His message of saving grace with others. Her unwavering spirituality was a cornerstone of her life and inspired those who knew her.

Norma is survived by her children from her first marriage: Patty Seiss, Deborah Palmquist, and Dorothy Joyce; as well as stepchildren Daniel Palmquist and Timothy Palmquist. She was predeceased by stepchildren Stephen Palmquist and Susan Palmquist Vallario.

Norma's memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her legacy of kindness and faith continue to inspire those she touched throughout her remarkable life.

At the request of her family, funeral services will be held privately. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, in South Windsor, are in care of her arrangements.
