Norma Jean Pruitt, age 87, of Canton, GA passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022. She was born in 1934, to the late Clarence and Naomi Collett. Norma Jean was a member of Hightower Baptist Church in Canton, GA and was very active in the WMU. She enjoyed gardening and loved taking care of her family and grandchildren. Norma Jean was a great cook and even up to the last few years would cook a full meal at least once a week for her whole family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Vic Pruitt, and siblings, Marcelle, Sue, Shirley, Camellia, and Lawrence.  

She is survived by her living husband of 69 years, Gene Pruitt; children, Mickey (Ramona) Pruitt, and Rickey (Kim) Pruitt; daughter-in-law, Kay Pruitt; grandchildren, Mitchell, Leslie, Derick, Amber, Hannah, Luke, and Levi; great grandchildren, Landon, and Case; siblings, Ruth Collett, Juanita Wheeler, Helen Hayes, David Collett, and Bo Collett; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with Rev. Gerral Richards and Rev. Ronnie McCormick officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
