Norma J. Schreffler, 51, of Massillon, passed away at Aultman Hospital on January 5, 2025. She was born in Canton on February 21, 1973, to John and Arlene (Lapp) Yoder.
She was a 1992 graduate of Lake High School and a member of Christ Connection Church in Louisville, Ohio.
Norma was a true servant at heart, a devoted Christian.
In her early twenties, Norma moved to El Dorado, Arkansas for what she thought was going to be for a short year. However, after getting involved in missionary work, she spent nine years there where she was committed to spreading the faith and creating a positive impact on those she met along the way.
She was a skilled baker and had perfected the pumpkin roll which was just one of her favorite desserts she was known to make and share with others.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 14 years, Scott J. Schreffler; her son Jayden Schreffler who was the light of her life; her beloved mother, Arlene Yoder; siblings Nathan (Martha) Yoder and Regina (Mark) Coblentz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family who will miss her dearly.
Norma was preceded in death by her father, John Yoder.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9th from 4-7 p.m. at Evermore Community Church in Hartville.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 12 p.m. at the church and burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Scott, Jayden, Arlene, Regina, Nathan, and all the rest of the family. I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Norma's death and will certainly keep you all in my prayers.

I arrived in El Dorado about 6 months prior to Norma's arrival and I too ended up staying there beyond my 1 year commitment (4 years). Needless to say, MANY of my memories of El Dorado include Norma with her ready smile and laughter. After I moved back to Ohio, I would go back to AR for visits and we'd either begin, or end, my visit with girls trips to the shore -- with Norma there, it was always a fun time and lots of laughter!

The world was certainly a better place with her in it, I am so sorry for your loss.
