Norma Jean Sullivan, 85, passed away peacefully with family by her side on 4 June 2024. Jean was born October 7th, 1938 in Henderson, Texas. She was the only daughter to Earl Barrett Gibson and Mavis Vinson. She grew up in Henderson in her early years and later moved with her mother to Seminole, Texas, Ft Worth, and later to San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from South San Antonio High School. In 1959, while in San Antonio she met and married Joe F. Moulton, Springfield, TN who was in the Air Force and stationed at Lackland Air Force Base. For the next twenty years, they were stationed at Lowry AFB, Denver, CO, Kadena AFB, Okinawa, Japan, Homestead AFB in Florida, and Mather AFB, Rancho Cordova, California. They had two children Terry of Scottsdale, AZ, and Troyof Hendersonville, TN. 1974, the family moved to Greendbrier, TN. In 1978, Joe and Jean divorced and Jean relocated to Goodlettsville. Jean later remarried Mike Sullivan, of Nashville, and they moved to Hendersonville. Jean worked in civil service for over 40 years including the Nashville Veteran’s Administration and Federal Aviation Administration. Jean was preceded in death by her husband James Sullivan, daughter in-law Sherri Tillery Moulton, and grandson Ryan Moulton. Jean is survived by her sons Terry Moulton and partner Karin Marshall of Scottsdale, AZ and Troy Moulton of Hendersonville, TN, grandchildren Dustin, Victoria (Tori), and Dannaka, great grandchildren, Fantasia, Anastasia, Wyatt, and Alexis. Jean will be remembered for her devotion to her children and grandchildren, her caring, patient, kindness, and loving manner in which she treated each person she encountered. Visitation for Jean will be held Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, TN 37075). A memorial service will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, TN 37075) on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm with an hour of visitation prior to the service.
