Norma Vigil Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, devoted sister, caring aunt, and loyal friend, Rosalía “Norma” Vigil. Norma was born on June 10, 1946, and peacefully left this world on May 1, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nambe, New Mexico and resided in Santa Cruz, New Mexico for over 60 years with her husband, Ernest. Norma was a graduate from Pojoaque high school and a licensed beautician in her early years. She and her sister, MaryLou, started a hobby of cleaning houses within their community and built a clientele over the years. They enjoyed one another’s company as they worked together. Norma was a devoted Catholic woman with a heart full of love for God, her family and friends. She had a strong passion for attending church and praying her rosary daily. Family gatherings were especially dear to her, and she cherished the moments when everyone would come together. Her bond with her children, grandchildren, siblings, daughter-in-law, and countless friends, was one of great love and understanding. Norma was a woman whose heart was as big as her generosity, and her legacy will forever live on in the fond memories shared by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents Reynaldo and Leonardita Roybal; Brothers, Horacio, Eddie, Dan, David, Phil, Peter, Gerard and Michael Roybal; Sisters, Diane Ortiz and MaryLou Lujan; brother in laws; Sam Gonzales, Martin Trujillo, Ruben Manzanares, and Derrick Esquibel; and countless other relatives.
