Visitation for Norman Wade Eastepp, age 86 of Pennington will begin Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 11:00 a.m. in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, with Pastor David Horace officiating. Interment will follow in Pennington Cemetery in Pennington.

Norman Wade Eastepp passed from this world to Jesus Christ's side in heaven September 22, 2023, at the age of 86. Norman was born December 4, 1936, at the old family homeplace. He was the son of Hiram Daniel Eastepp and Eula Stewart Eastepp. Norman was married to Zelda Beth Eastepp in Pennington on December 21, 1956, and they were married for sixty-one years.
Norman's hobbies and pursuits were farming, ranching, forestry, attending music festivals, rodeos, and sporting events. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an enthusiast for creating laughter with the children. In Norman's youth, he was known for his high school basketball skills where he played for Pennington high school. He was baptized March 30, 1952, at the Pennington Baptist Church. He loved the lord and enjoyed attending church services. Norman was also a former peace officer. He attended the Police Academy in Nacogdoches and later worked in law enforcement for numerous agencies prior to retirement and working in forestry.
Mr. Eastepp is survived by his two children: daughter, Bethany Conarroe and Husband, Marshall of Brenham, TX, and son, Keith Eastepp and wife, Vanessa of Pennington, TX; brother, Mac Eastepp and wife, Peggy of Friday, TX; grandchildren: Kimberli Eastepp Christina and husband, Mike, Joshua Eastepp, Kyle Eastepp and wife, Courtney, Nicole Hamby and husband, Cody, Dylan Eastepp and wife, Emily, Heather Pope and husband, Lacartis, Jason Conarroe and wife, Victoria, Miranda Schroeder and husband, Stephen "Rooster", Adam Conarroe, and Ryan Lemons; great-grandchildren: Corbin Eastepp, Clara Eastepp, Nolan Christina, Cadence Murphy, Paige Murphy, Keegan Murphy, Jake Conarroe, Cayd Conarroe, Levi Conarroe, Leylan Schroeder, Lexan Schroeder, Kate Hamby, and Atlas Eastepp; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also survive.
Mr. Eastepp is preceded in death by his loving parents, Hiram and Eula Eastepp; wife, Zelda Beth Eastepp; brothers: Carl Eastepp, Loyd Eastepp, Carroll Eastepp, Oscar Eastepp, Howard Eastepp, and Hoyt Eastepp; sister, Eula Mae Reynolds; and great-granddaughter, Evelyn Elaine Eastepp.
