Norman Henry Feyereisen
October 26, 1942 – December 16, 2024
Age 82, of Hudson, WI, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Norm, known to all as a devoted farmer, lifelong member of St. Patrick's Parish, and a man with an infectious sense of humor, will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community. Born to Nick and Mathilda Feyereisen on October 26, 1942, in River Falls. Norm was a hardworking, caring man who devoted his life to his family, faith, and his beloved work on the family farm.
A lifelong farmer, Norm had a deep love for tractors, and he took great pride in his extensive collection, often sharing it with anyone who showed interest. His love for the land and his unwavering commitment to farming defined much of his life, yet he was also known for always lending a hand to anyone in need. Whether it was a neighbor, friend, or family member, Norm could always be counted on to help with a smile and a joke, and his witty comebacks became legendary. He loved going out with friends laughing and dancing with Shirlee at local ballrooms.
Norm's family was his greatest joy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Shirlee, who was his constant companion and the love of his life. Together, they built a family that includes seven children: Barb (Brent), Diane (Gary), Susan (Kevin), Tom (Pam), Mike, Chris (Laura), and Kathy (Jade). He was a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren-Elizabeth, Justine (Cody), Colten, Nicole (Doug), Tanner, Emily, Ariel, Hunter, Corey, Brielle, Carter, Abby, Joey, Maverick, Clark, Paxton, Beckum, and Nolan and a great-grandfather to seven: Cole, Sommer, Lucas, Kye, Jovi, Asher, and Ira.
In addition to his family, Norm leaves behind his two brothers, Steve (Ida) and John (Carol), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Norm's legacy lives on in the love and laughter he shared with everyone who knew him. His work ethic, generosity, and humor were the foundation of his life, and he will be remembered for his kindness and his ability to make others smile.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Hudson on Thursday, December 19th starting at 11:00AM. A celebration of life will precede the mass starting at 9:30AM.
The family would like to extend their extreme gratitude and thanks toward the incredible St. Croix Hospice team for amazing work and care they provided Norm in his final days.
Rest in peace, Norm. You will always be in our hearts.
