Dunn Funeral Home - BristolNorman A. Fortier Jr., 73, lifelong Bristol resident passed away, November 11, 2025.
Norman was born on May 25, 1952, in New Britain the son of the late
Norman A. Fortier Sr. and the late Aubigne (Mills) Fortier.
He worked at various construction company including Bell City Plumbing for years and worked for City of Bristol Police Animal Control and Superior Court Special Deputy Sheriff.
Growing up he swam the Boys and Girls Club having his father as a coach. Norman was an avid scuba diver and loved to watch Nascar and Uconn Men and Women's Sports. He was heavily involved in the Democratic Town Committee and was elected City Constable for 12 years.
Norman is survived by his brother, Phillip Fortier and his wife, Jeannette of Azusa, CA, William Fortier of South Daytona, FL, and Susan Piccirillo of Naples, FL, several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many friends including Brent and Jay.
Funeral services will be private. The family is having a Celebration of Life on January 10, 2026, at Italian Social Club Bristol, CT 31 Barber St,
Bristol, CT 06010 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bristol Boys and Girls Club 255 West St. Bristol, CT 06010.
