Norman John Gruschow 85, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2021, wife his wife by his side.
He is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Marjorie Gruschow of Rush, NY, and his grandsons Matthew Aaron Flory in 2001 and Nathaniel David Linger of Liverpool, NY in 2015
Norman graduated from R.I.T and was employed as a research chemist with Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY for over 23 years. He and his wife became real estate brokers after moving to North Caroline in 1983. They later retired in the Saratoga Springs area in 1997 following a horrendous motorcycle accident in 1995.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Cass Gruschow of Saratoga Springs, NY, his sons, Nichols, and his wife Sue of Waterbury Center, VT, and John Gruschow of Rochester, NY. Stepson: David Linger (Wendy Marsh) of Geneva, NY, Stepdaughters; Kate Contento and her Husband Dan and Kirsten and her husband David Geoghegan both of Ravena, NY, grandchildren; Greg, Liz, Max and Jacey Gruschow, Brian and Zysnia Linger, Tom and Bob Geoghegan, Carina Contento and Brennan and Elise Flory.
Norm enjoyed following watching Dukes Basketball and being a member of the Saratoga Wilton Elks Lodge #161.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm at the Simpson United Methodist Church 1089 Rock City Rd. Rock City Falls, NY 12823, on Wednesday, June 2. The Wilton Elks will also be part of the services.
Interment will be in his family plot in the Riverside Cemetery in Rochester, NY later in June
Funeral services are entrusted to the Tunison Funeral Home 105 Lake Ave. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
