Grandpa Mathe was an extremely kind, caring person. Looking back on the fond memories we shared together, I will always remember playing Skip-Bo with him and Grandma, him teaching me to ride the scooter in the backyard in Kansas, and going fishing. I still have some of the fishing lures he got for me when I was a kid and I always enjoyed the friendly competition of seeing who could catch most fish.
I came across an old voicemail on my phone from him and grandma singing happy birthday and it was heart warming to hear his voice again.
Love you Grandpa!
