Rose Mathé Obituary

MATHÉ, Rose Tuske, 88, of North Chesterfield went to be with the Lord April 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Mathé and seven of her eight beloved siblings. She is survived by her sister, Erszi; her daughters, Sue Mathé and Jenny Palkovitz; and her beloved grandchildren, Timothy Lee, Katherine Wise, Michelle Lee, Christopher Wise and Matthew Wise. She was the matriarch and rock of our family. Her capacity to love was endless, and her entire life was grounded by her Hungarian spirit, her immense love of her family and her steadfast faith in God. She was an avid gardener and created a beautiful paradise in her backyard. She loved looking out over the deer, colorful birds and squirrels who made her yard their preferred home.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Edward the Confessor Church, 2700 Dolfield Drive North Chesterfield, Thursday, April 11th at 1 p.m.

DEE JONES

April 11, 2024

Oh Rose was the dearest friend and neighbor. We so often shared plants with each other. She always gave me advise on how to grow my plants and so many other things. She loved our Lord and gave him many praises and all her devotion . She was so amazing - cutting her own lawn, climbing on the roof to clean the gutters (at 80 plus!). Until her injury in a fall, she was unstoppable! Never asking for help in anything and always so willing to share. I loved Rose and will always cherish our times and memories. I know she's in Heaven now and finally out of pain. She so often told me she was ready to meet her Lord and reunite with her love ones that had gone ahead. God bless her and may she rest in total peace
