Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors - BorgerNorman Franklin McDonald, 68, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Celebration Family Church in Fritch with Pastor Dwight Kirksey officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers, his memory may be honored with a gift to Fritch Meals on Wheels, PO Box 366, Fritch, Texas, 79036.
Norman was born February 7, 1957, in Borger to Bennie Eugune McDonald and Betty Ellen Frayne McDonald. He enjoyed dancing, fishing and serving his fellow man. Norman never met a stranger; he truly had a servant’s heart. He would gladly give someone the shirt off his back. Norman believed in giving back to the earth, that is what led him to the recycling business. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family, he always wanted to be with them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Betty McDonald; wife, Judy McDonald; daughter, Crystal Mattiza; and sister, Betty Ely.
Survivors include his son, Jared McDonald and his wife Sarah of Amarillo; daughters, Kelly Tita and her husband Michael of Sandy, Utah and Sarah Williams and her husband Gary of Odessa; grandchildren, John Duggan, Jodie Davis and husband Austin, Jenna Bush, Audrey Tita-Munoz, Matthew Tita, Ava Tita, Michael Tita, Vance McCarter, Luke McCarter, Wyatt McCarter, Rory McCarter, Lily McDonald, Owen McDonald; sisters, Donna Phelps of Borger, Mary Imhulse of Sarasota, Florida; and a host of extended family.
