Fedil Leo Lovato, 66, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Anthony Yanamala, celebrant. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The rosary will be recited beginning at 6 pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in the Minton Memorial Chapel.
Fedil was born September 26, 1959, in Clovis, New Mexico to Atilano Lovato and Juanita Lopez Lovato. He was an extremely hard-working employee and retired from Phillips as an instrument technician and from Scout as a field operator. After his retirement Fedil stayed busy with various entrepreneurial businesses. Fedil enjoyed going dancing, riding motorcycles, and traveling. He loved life and lived it big. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Atilano and Juanita Lovato; brothers, Andy Lovato, Delfido Lovato; and sisters, Margaret Hodge, Fabby Armigo, Rita Gutierrez, Demetria Duran, and Benny Barrera.
Survivors include his son, Fedil “Dale” Lovato, Jr., of Borger; daughter, Yvonne Lovato of Borger; grandchildren, Chase Lovato, Iziah Urias, Riley Anderson, Jakob Lovato, Mason Lovato, Jhaya Gardner, Jordan Anderson, Kyndale Lovato, Jhaliyah Gardner; great granddaughters, Itzali Urias, Iliana Urias, Delilah Lovato; brothers, Andy Lovato and wife Lupe of Fritch, Bruno Lovato and wife Becky of Borger, JR Lovato and wife Nelly of Borger, Fernandez Lovato and wife Marie of Portales, Emiliano Lovato and wife Viola of Clovis; sisters, Jane Cordova and husband David of Cuba, Martina Pena and husband Tommy of Fritch, Nash Serrano and husband Hector of Midland; sister-in-law, Mary Lovato of Fritch; brother-in-law, Steven Hodge of Amarillo; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
