Berlin-Norman R. Rainville, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Beverly Rainville; their sons, Richard Rainville, Michael Rainville & wife Virginia, and Scott Rainville; siblings and their spouses, Conrad Rainville, Robert Rainville & Sharon, Phillip Rainville, Ruth Amato, Claude Rainville, Jacqueline Lariviere & Scott, Jeanne Rainville, Judith & Peter Slik; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He is pre-deceased by his brother Leonard Rainville.
Son of the late Raymond & Irene (Paquette) Rainville, Norm was raised in Berlin and was a graduate of the Hudson High School. He proudly served our nation in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged as an Airman 2nd Class from the 15th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. Norm returned home safely to begin his lifelong career as a toolmaker, working with Wang Laboratories in Lowell and later with Lincoln Tool & Die, from where he ultimately retired. He lived his life with great fascination for all things mechanical and was a world class tinkerer. Norm was a long time volunteer for the Boy Scouts Troop 1 in Berlin and an avid hiker, camper, and outdoorsman. Above all, he was a loving family man, devoted husband and father.
