Mr. Taranto was a great coach. As a student athlete 1968 thru 1972, Mr. T worked us hard, with strategic discipline. As the freshman coach he brought us to win our NBIL division. I have always admired him and am sorry to learn of his passing. God speed.

Norm was a very kind individual who loved teaching. My husband Joe passed away and I needed to learn how to take care of our pool. Norm was very kind and patient with me. We became friends during my many lessons of pool 101 as we referred to it. We would always have a cup of tea together after a visit. Even after I sold my home 4 years ago I gladly referred him as the go to guy about pools. I´m sure my husband Joe and him are having tea and a beer together as I write this. The world has lost another wonderful man .
God Bless your family as they will miss you terribly .

Played football with Norm and worked with him for 30 plus years at Ramapo. Great guy- he would give you his shirt off his back! A Ramapo legend!

My twin brother Bucky and I grew up with Norm from Kindergarten through HS. Bucky had raised his family in Norm´s childhood home in the Sicomac area of Wyckoff. He gave a lot of himself in sports and guidance to many graduates of Ramapo, leaving great memories to many students. He is a legend to be hold.
