Obituary of Norval D. Shreve
December 26, 1939 – July 14, 2025
Norval D. Shreve. Age 85 of Riverview.
Beloved husband of Phyllis Shreve. Loving father of Robert (Dawn) and David (Aubrey). Dearest grandfather of Carson, Mikayla, Sean (Jenna), Cayla (Justin) and Nicolas (Haley). Great-grandfather of June, Zander, Patrick and Josie.
Norval Shreve, age 85, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025. Born on December 26, 1939, in Monroe, Michigan, Norval was the beloved son of Glen and Cleo Shreve. He was preceded in death by his older brother Bill Carrico and younger brother David Shreve.
Norval was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He married the love of his life, Phyllis, and together they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by Phyllis and their two sons, Robert (Dawn) and David (Aubrey), as well as five grandchildren: Carson, Mikayla, Sean (Jenna), Cayla (Justin) and Nicolas (Haley). He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: June, Zander, Patrick and Josie.
Norval was a dedicated Scout Master and mentor for Boy Scout Troop 1654, where he guided and inspired many young men. He enjoyed a long career with the Ford Motor Company before retiring, and he remained active in his passions throughout his life.
An avid antique collector and dealer, Norval had a particular love for breweriana-collectibles related to beer and brewing history. His appreciation for the past showed in the stories he told and the treasures he shared. He also found peace and joy in the great outdoors, especially when watching sunsets or around a campfire.
Norval's warmth, humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the values he passed down, the lives he touched, and the family he loved so deeply.
