Tom was born on January 20, 1954, in Lynn, a son of the late Wilbert and Gloria (Taylor) Houle.
He was a 1971 graduate of Austin Preparatory School in Reading.
Tom was a police officer for the Town of Concord for many years prior to his retirement. During his retirement years, Tom spent time working at the Hobart Antique Mall in West Townsend.
His favorite activity was spending time with friends and family. He was a lifelong football fan and coached his son's Pop Warner teams. He was an avid collector of O Gauge model trains, classic car models, and various antiques.
He leaves his wife Barbara L. (Taylor) Houle of West Townsend; two sons, Jason T. Houle and his wife Rose Infantino of Huntington Beach, CA and Daniel J. Houle and his wife, Raquel of Somersworth, NH; a brother, Timothy Houle of Orlando, FL; a sister Maureen Pineau of Anson, ME; a granddaughter, Jordan, nephews and nieces.
He is predeceased by a sister Mary Houle.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 19 from 2 to 5 PM in the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Townsend. A private burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery in West Townsend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital (stjude.org).
