In loving memory of Sean Vincent Sullivan, 50, who passed away on October 11, 2024.
Sean was born on February 16, 1974 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Patricia Ann Sullivan.
He graduated from Truman High School in the class of 1992 and went on to graduate from Western Missouri Regional Police Academy.
He married Gretchen Ruth on February 11, 2000 and to this union was born a daughter, Kylie Ann Sullivan. Sean’s love for his daughter was immeasurable.
Sean was a dedicated Police officer, for 25 years serving first the small community of Oakview, MO, and then Sugar Creek, MO, Blue Springs, MO and finally Kansas City, MO. Sean was committed to helping others and making a positive impact in his community. He would have done anything for anyone and was always willing to give a helping hand to whomever needed him. He loved his job deeply and he will be missed by his colleagues and citizens of the Kansas City, MO community.
Sean found joy in alligator hunting in Florida with his close friends, a passion that brought him many adventures and cherished memories. Sean had a deep appreciation for his Mustang, taking great pleasure in having it modified to perfection and driving it any chance he could get. Riding his motorcycles was one of his greatest joys, and over the years, he owned several that he treasured.
Sean is survived by his daughter, Kylie Ann Sulivan, his beloved Uncle (Unc) Pat Sullivan and his Aunt Monica, as well as many wonderful cousins on both sides of his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann Sullivan.
A visitation will be held on October 17th, at 11:00am, and will be followed with a celebration of life at 12:00pm at St. Mark Catholic Church, with interment service at Mount Olivet Cemetery immediately following the celebration of life.
Sean's adventurous spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for others will be profoundly missed. Rest in peace, Sean.
