Official Obituary Of Daris May Hyatt Fore

Asheville -Daris May Hyatt Fore, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Four Seasons Elizabeth House while surrounded by family.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late William Nelson Hyatt and Leatine McCrary Hyatt, and wife of the late Gerald "Jerry" Morris Fore. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Billy Hyatt, and Charles Hyatt.
Mrs. Fore was a 1956 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School. She worked for the Buncombe County School System as a Teacher's Assistant for over 25 years until retirement from Johnston Elementary School. She loved her church family at Victory Baptist Church where she was a longtime active member. She especially enjoyed taking care of the Bulletin Board. She was also very talented in creating floral arrangements and enjoyed entering them at the Mountain State Fair where she won numerous prizes.
Surviving are her children: Pam Fore Garland, Sharon O'Brien and husband William, and Crystal Sawyer and husband Scott; grandchildren: Adam Cox, Brad Archer, Rachel Wolk, Jerry Archer, Blakely Sawyer, Trevor Sawyer, and Carissa Wells; great-grandchildren: Jaylen Sawyer, Easton Sawyer, Jaxon Wells, Harper Wells, Zoe Sawyer, Harlee Wells, Elijah Sawyer, and Oakley Archer; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 24, 2024, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Sprinkle and Rev. Kelvin Moseley will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 till 2 PM at the funeral home.
