Ola Faye Thomas

Ola "Faye" Thomas, age 84, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 in Middletown, Ohio. She was born on October 30, 1940 to the late Melvin and Maxine (Barnett) Hicks in Hazard county, Kentucky. Faye retired from Delco Moraine General Motors in Dayton after twenty years of dedicated service. She will be remembered for being a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as her generosity and always putting others first. She was regarded as a Mother, Nana, and Aunt to many generations of people that entered her life throughout her time on earth. She dedicated her life to helping others. Her family was always her first priority. She will be missed most for her laughter, pull no punches, know where you stood "it is what it is" attitude.

Faye is survived by her daughters, Debbie Thomas, Rita Miller, Jill Chrisman, and Angie (Mike) Shirley; loving nieces Suzy and Gina; nine grandchildren, Malcolm Thomas, Taylor Franklin, AJ Franklin, Emily Miller, Jesse Chrisman, Gracie Shirley, Katie Shirley, Mickey Shirley; Three great-grandchildren that she raised as her own, Joseph, Joshua and Evelyn, in addition to ten other great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Ronald (Ruth) Hicks. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Thomas, a sister, Zola Peck and brother, Virgil "Bud" Hicks, her granddaughter, Ashley Thomas, and great-grandson "Gigi".

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Service officiated by Reverend Glen E. Thomas and Reverend Jim Jackson at 1 pm at Stratford Heights Church of God 4419 Nelson Rd., Middletown, Ohio 45042 followed by burial at the Butler County Memorial Park 4570 Trenton Oxford Road, Hamilton, OH 45011.
