With heavy hearts, we announce that Olga Carr went home to her Lord and Savior on October 8, 2025, at her home, after a four year battle with cancer.
Olga was born on October 20, 1948, to Ivan and Clorene Johnson. She was the fifth of seven children in a loving, close knit family. Her life can be summed up by four words: faith, family, flowers, and flea markets.
Some of Olga's happiest memories were the road trips she took with her mom and sisters, hunting for flea markets and antique shops.
Olga's faith was evident in everything she did. She gave her life to her Lord and Savior at 13 years old and never doubted His plan for her.
The four daughters blessed Olga and Steve with ten grandchildren and one great grandson. They loved spending time at ball games and cheering the kids on.
If you ever drove past Olga's house, you know she had a passion for flowers. She delighted in planting, tending, and caring for her beautiful yard. Inside, Olga and Steve's home was lovingly decorated with antiques and special collectibles gathered over the years.
When her daughters were young, Olga worked at Marionville Schools and the Methodist Manor. Later, she enjoyed a 25 year career at the Missouri Eye Institute, where she was known for her kindness and steady presence.
Olga is survived by her husband, Steve; her daughters, Whitney Depee (Brent) and Lynn Moore; her stepdaughters, Tara Shoemaker (Steven) and Lesley Tima (Tony); her adored grandchildren, Mackenzie Hankins (Lane), Dalton Depee (Cecilia), Dayne Depee, Colin Moore, Griffin Moore, Zac Shoemaker (Abby), Drew Shoemaker (Lauren), Seth Shoemaker, Carter Tima, and Dominic Tima and one great grandson, John Luke Shoemaker. She is also survived by her brother, Jay Johnson and sister, Jackie Harvey (Gary).
Olga was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan, and Clorene Johnson; her sisters, Ovella Vanderhoof, Natalie Jackson, and Bobbi Kerans and her brother, Ray Johnson.
Until the end, Olga met each day with kindness, grace, compassion, and a deep love for God and her family.
Cremation is under the care of Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Season's Hospice.
