Oliver Platt Obituary
Funeral Services for Oliver Dewey Platt, 97, of Poplarville, MS will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Charles Laurent officiating. Interment will follow in the Amity Cemetery in Richland Parish, LA.
Mr. Platt was born on February 22, 1928, in Franklin Parish, LA and passed away on August 15, 2025 in Poplarville, MS. He is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Ellen Platt; and daughter, Mary Susan Franks.
Survivors include his children, Kathy Platt and Thomas Platt; grandchildren, Randy Platt, Shelia Platt, Celeste Platt, Steve Platt, Scott Platt, Patrick Platt, Rodney Platt, Shannon Butler, and Kelly Harris.
Pallbearers will be Steve Platt, Scott Platt, Patrick Platt, Rodney Platt, Donovan Platt, and David Platt.
Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.
