Ollie Joseph Fauré, a shining light in the lives of all who knew him, was born on November 1, 2001, in New Orleans, Louisiana and he left this world far too soon on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. A cherished son, brother, and friend, Ollie embodied brilliance and kindness, captivating everyone he encountered with his warm smile and genuine spirit.

Ollie's journey through life was marked by unwavering dedication, both to his academics and to his community. A proud member of the Beta Club, the National Honor Society, the Debate Team, and the esteemed Air Force ROTC color guard and drill team, Ollie graduated from Airline High School in 2020, setting a course for what promised to be a remarkable future. He exhibited wisdom beyond his years, and his heart truly knew no bounds. His remarkable ability to connect with others, especially children, spoke volumes about his soul. To everyone, he was not just an acquaintance; to many, he became a best friend, illuminating their lives with his contagious enthusiasm and kindness.

Following his high school education, Ollie further pursued his dreams at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, subsequently choosing to serve his country bravely by joining the United States Air Force. For three years, from 2021 to 2024, he served as an Aircraft Loadmaster, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to his responsibilities. Stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Ollie found ways to give back to the community that embraced him, volunteering whenever possible, fueled by his boundless generosity.

Those who had the privilege to know Ollie witnessed a mosaic of interests and hobbies that painted a broader picture of his extraordinary personality. He explored robotics, displayed his musical talents by playing the violin, and found immense joy in traveling. Reading and songwriting were not just pastimes for him; they were windows into his creative mind. Ollie's love for sports was evident as he actively participated in soccer and basketball at Bossier Parks and Recreation, sharing laughter and camaraderie with friends.

Family was at the core of Ollie's being. He held an enduring love and commitment to his siblings, regarding them as his best friends rather than mere siblings. Throughout the struggles he faced this past year, his determination to provide for and protect his family never wavered. His steadfast spirit was a source of strength and inspiration to those around him.

Ollie's presence will be profoundly missed, a fading star whose warmth and brilliance touched the hearts of many. As we remember him, may we carry forward the values he embodied: love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to family and community.

Ollie was preceded in death by his sister, Ieshia Bourgeois; grandfather, Oliver Fauré, Sr. and his uncles, Montique Bourgeois and Uncle Eugene E.J. Bourgeois.
