Vivian Claudia LaCour Dillard was born in Bermuda, Louisiana, on August 25, 1953, to the parentage of James LaCour and Emma Tousant LaCour. She was preceded in death by her father, James LaCour; mother, Emma Tousant; sister, Delsine Tousant; and a baby brother, Steven LaCour.

Vivian was affectionately known by many special nicknames, each given by those who deeply loved and admired her. She was one of the sweetest, most caring, and compassionate individuals you could ever encounter. Her gentle spirit and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. With a fun-loving personality and a contagious smile, Vivian brought joy and laughter wherever she went.

She spent most of her adult life in beautiful California, the Sunshine State, but in her later years, she returned to her roots in the great state of Louisiana, where she made her home in Bossier City until her passing. Vivian’s true passion in life was helping others. She had an unwavering desire to make sure no one around her went without or felt forgotten.

Her love for God was evident in every conversation, as she often spoke of His goodness and shared the message of Jesus Christ with everyone she met. Vivian’s faith was her foundation, and her life reflected her devotion to serving others with grace and humility. Though she is no longer with us in the physical sense, we can rest assured that death was not the end for Vivian, but the beginning of a glorious new life in the presence of the Lord. Her memory will forever remain a beacon of love, kindness, and faith.

Vivian was the third of ten children. Vivian married Clarence Dillard, Jr. twice. First in 1974, divorced in 1984, and remarried in 2015. She leaves to cherish her memory her faithful spouse, Clarence (Jake) Dillard, Jr.; the love of her life and a faithful companion, her only surviving son, Orenthia Dillard; eight siblings, Betty T. Remo (Raymond), Freddie Tousant, Emma Henderson, Vincent LaCour, Debra Tousant, Gregory Tousant, and Chenelle Tousant Oates, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family extends their appreciation for all the prayers, calls, gifts, and visits.

We release you, not in sorrow alone, but with gratitude, knowing that God has you now. Rest, Vivian, in heavenly peace. Your work here is done, and your spirit is free.

Goodbye, sweet Vivian, your smile lives in our hearts!
