Ona Evelyn Fleming

Graveside Service for Ona Evelyn Fleming will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating, under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Ona was born on June 27, 1935, to John and Allie Barrick in Wharton, TX. She passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 90.

Ona married the love of her life, Carrol Fleming, in 1962, and he passed away in 2020. Together, they created a warm and inviting home filled with laughter, faith, and the delicious aroma of her incredible cooking. Ona was known far and wide for her culinary talents, and for many years, she proudly managed the Brownfield High School cafeteria.

Ona’s deep faith in Jesus was evident in every aspect of her life. Her devotion to God and her family shaped her legacy, and she instilled in her loved ones the values of kindness, compassion, and perseverance.

Ona was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Fleming, and her parents, John and Allie Barrick. She is survived by her grandson, Steve Keene; sister, Nettie Grove; and great-grandson, Bladen Keene.
