Ona McKown Obituary

Ona Marie Hallum McKown, 76, of Russellville, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 20, 1948, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Silas and Ona Mae Johnson Hallum.

She worked in higher education administration and enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include two daughters, Carrie (Jason) Walker of Franklin, Ind., and Tina (Jeff) Woods of Russellville; three grandchildren, Taylor Ruth Walker, Laci Morgan Woods and Tori Mali Woods; two sisters, Hazel (Joe) Russell of Dover and B. Faye Drittler of Russellville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, at Humphrey Chapel. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be no graveside committal. An online obituary and guestbook are available at www.humphreyfuneral.com.
