Opal Marie McDaniel Opal Marie McDaniel, age 79 of Manassas, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. McDaniel was born April 25, 1931 in Frenchburg, Kentucky daughter of the late Ollie and June (Smith) Patrick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wilson McDaniel.

Survivors include five children, Brenda Miller and husband Donald of Princeton, West Virginia, Connie Burleson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dennis Patrick and wife Jeanne of Manassas, Virginia, Michael Patrick and wife Laurie of Front Royal, Virginia and Brian McDaniel and wife Reta of Manassas, Virginia; two step-children, Sue Wolfe and husband Steve of Manassas, Virginia and Bruce McDaniel of Centreville, Virginia; four sisters; one brother; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 P.M. Friday, August 20, 2010 at Handley Funeral Home, 6670 McClellan St., West Hamlin, West Virginia where funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 21, 2010. Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery, Branchland, West Virginia. Condolences may be sent to www.piercefh.com.

What a remarkable person!!

There isn't enough words to describe what a special person Opal will always be to our family. I was trying to think of one word that best describes Opal and decided that that word is "PERFECT".
We love you and will miss you dearly!
