Donald L McDaniel, age 83, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025. He was preceded in death by daughter, Allison Peacock; parents, Henry Lee and Lois Richardson McDaniel; and brother, Tim McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Margaret Appling McDaniel; children, Amy and Jeff Dispain, and Jason and Christine McDaniel; grandchildren, Erica Caviness, Taylor Dispain, Cailin McDaniel and Alex Riggs; sisters, Ann Jett and Deborah Clanton; brothers, Kenneth McDaniel and Rev. Landy (Rita) McDaniel; sisters-in-law, Rachel (Terry) Underwood, Margie (Mike) McDowell, Faye (Otis) Presley, Emily Appling; and brothers-in-law, Joe (Pat) Appling, Richard (Dianne) Appling. Mr. McDaniel was born on May 14, 1942 in Duluth, GA and graduated in 1960 from Duluth High School. He was retired from Southern Electronic Distribution as a warehouse manager. Mr. McDaniel was a member of North Metro Baptist Church in Hoschton, GA where he was a choir director and he also did floral arrangements. He enjoyed playing the piano and singing. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jason McDaniel officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth with Rev. Landy McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
