Eddie Benoy Smith

Eddie Benoy Smith, age 56, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethridge and Margaret Samples Smith; sister, Judy Smith Angel. Mr. Smith is survived by his sister, Ellen Angel of Buford; brother, Larry Smith of Buford; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born on February 11, 1969 in Buford and was a 1987 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. Mr. Smith was retired from Kroger Grocery Store after thirty-five years of service. He worked for Kroger at the Spout Springs location and at the Kroger located in Buford until it closed. Mr. Smith was a member at New Covenant Church located in Dacula, GA. He loved fishing, hunting, going to football games, cattle sales and he loved all sports. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 12, 2026 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Anglin and Rev. Matt Calvert officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
