Vicky Ivey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel & Gardens on Jan. 24, 2026.
Vicky Lee Wallace Ivey, age 71, of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of the Buford area, entered her Heavenly Home on January 21, 2026. She was proceeded in death by her parents, James Cecil and Evelyn Wallace. Mrs. Ivey is survived by her husband, of 50 years, Howard Ivey. Children, Chris (Belinda) of Anderson South Carolina; Keith (Jason) of Little Rock, AK; and Amanda Thomasson of Kentucky; Six Grandchildren; Brothers, Jim (Becky), Kenneth (Allison), John (Tracy) all of Buford; Aunt, Mary Morris-Tilley of Suffolk, Virginia; several nieces nephews and their children and cousins. Her nieces, nephews and their children loved her like a Grandmother.

Vicky was born April 28, 1954 in Tampa Florida at MacDill Air Force Base. She was a 1972 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. She was retired with Hall County School System, Transportation Department, as a special-needs school bus driver. She loved all the children and families she served and they loved her.

Vicky was born with a servant's heart, and you could always find her doing for others. She loved painting, drawing, gardening, trying a new recipe, or surprising loved ones with special home-made keepsakes. She also had a green thumb and loved working in her beautiful yard. Aside from crafting and spending time with her family, she had a fond love of camping and traveling to National Parks around the country. She was always so excited to show off her gems and neat rocks she had found on her adventures. Vicky had a selfless heart and was always in good spirits. She was a friend to all who met her and she was such a blessing to all of her family and friends.

For now we say so long, we will miss and continue loving you every day. You will never be forgotten. We will see you again in that home Jesus prepared for you.

As Vicky lived in Arkansas there will be no formal service in Georgia.
