Raymond Lee Thompson

Raymond Lee Thompson, age 65, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025. He was preceded in death by parents, John and Louise Bruce Thompson; sisters, Peggy Ethridge, Brenda Lindeland; brothers, Elton Thompson, D. J. Thompson, Ricky Thompson. He is survived by his daughter, Dez Franklin of Eatonton, GA; sisters, Kathryn Moon of Winder, GA, Paulette Bailey of Jefferson, GA, Jean (Joseph) Pruett of Jefferson, Deborah (David) Bennett of Lawrenceville, GA, Joan (Randy) Sanders of Buford; sister-in-law, Becky Thompson of Buford; brother, Roy (Diane) Thompson of Jefferson; brothers-in-law, Jerry Ethridge of Buford, and Toby Lindeland of Lake Hartwell, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Thompson was born on March 11, 1960 in Duluth, GA. He was a 1978 graduate of Duluth High School and was a retired carpenter. He was of Baptist faith. He loved fishing, hunting, and building bird houses. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. David Bailey and Wayne Ethridge officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens located in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
