Jerry Gwinn McDaniel, 77, of Millerton, Oklahoma was born on November 6, 1947, in Hatfield, Arkansas to James Bert and Vertie (Williams) McDaniel. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Junior McDaniel, Jimmy McDaniel, Larry McDaniel and sisters, Inez Coleman and Willie Hudson.

Jerry was a longtime resident of McCurtain County, Oklahoma. After graduating from Smithville High School in 1965, he joined the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. Jerry worked as a crane operator at the sawmill in Wright City for 37 years. He enjoyed many things in life, including playing bingo at the VFW and Swink Fire Department, dancing in his younger days, but he especially loved getting to watch his grandkids play ball and participate in rodeo events. Jerry will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his spouse of 30 years, Cora Hankins of the home; sons, Jerry Keith McDaniel of Wright City, OK, Kenneth Scott of Millerton, OK and Wayne Scott and wife, Kim of Mena, AR; daughters, Dena Rymel and husband, John of Durant, OK and Jeri Matlock and husband, Gerrad of Valliant, OK; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Archie McDaniel and wife, Joyce of Broken Bow, OK and Gary McDaniel and wife, Ruth of Garvin, OK; sister, Pauline Griffith of Garvin, OK, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family, friends and loved ones.
