Kenneth Earl Clift, 75, of Swink Oklahoma gained his wings on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born on February 21, 1950 to Gordan Tillman and Thelma (Matlock) Clift. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin Clift and Robert Clift; sisters, Zelma "Mae" Hutson, Pearl Snuggs, Shirley Akins and Louise Parks; daughter, Mindy Simmons; brothers in law, Jack Hudson, Sid Snuggs, Monroe Akins and Eddie Cooper and sisters in law, Jacquelyn Hargess, Bonnie Clift, Theresa Clift and Linda Sarver.
Kenneth grew up in Cement, Oklahoma, attending Cement Public School where he graduated in 1968. After high school he worked at a variety of jobs including wheat harvest, oil field, welding, sawmill, bus driver and janitor. In 1984 Kenneth moved to Swink, Oklahoma and married his true love, Debra Cooper on March 22, 1985. Kenneth loved to hunt and fish but his favorite past time was always baseball. He coached several years for the Fort Towson and Rattan Summer Youth Programs, where he was fondly thought of by those who played. He never missed an opportunity to play ball himself, even with the family last Easter. He was a valued member of the Swink Volunteer Fire Department for several years. In March of 2014, Kenneth retired from Lane Frost Health and Rehab where he worked as a driver and in maintenance. Kenneth was always helping his family and neighbors, and he loved spending time with is kids and grandkids.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Debra of the home; daughter, Stephanie Speers and husband Ditto; sons, Steven Clift and wife Paloma, Kevin Clift, Drew Clift and wife Brittney, Chad Clift, BJ Simmons, Kasey Clift, Karey Clift and wife, Kimberly; grandchildren, Melynda Speers, Logan Clift, Makya Clift, Jesse Clift, Kenlie Clift, Brooklyn Clift, Jaxon Holleman and Riley Rose Clift; brothers, Dale, Arthur and Willie Clift; brothers in law, Raymond Parks, Ricky Cooper and Art Sarver; sisters in law, Julie Clift, Donna Freeman and Barbara Trapp; special cousin and friend Wayne White along with multiple nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Clift on Thursday 9-11-2025 from 5:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM.
