Taft – Oralia Fuentes Elizardo passed away December 1, 2023. She was 85.
Oralia was born November 8, 1938 in Harlingen, Texas to Diamantina (Longoria) and Justo Fuentes. She was a lifelong resident of Taft. Oralia was previously employed by Holiday Inn Emerald Beach. She will be remembered by her family and friends as someone who kept a tidy home, someone who loved to clean, and made the best flour tortillas.
Oralia was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Praxedis "Junior" Elizardo; and parents: Justo and Diamantina Fuentes.
Survivors include her sons: Edwardo Elizardo (Casey) from Paige, Texas and Ernie Elizardo (Cindy) from Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter: Amanda Mendez (Raymond) from Taft, Texas; grandchildren: Dean Elizardo, Ethan Elizardo, Evan Elizardo, Elliott Elizardo, Ernie Elizardo, Mikey Elizardo (Mariah), Brianna Elizardo, Gabriella Elizardo, Anessa Mendez (Jesus), Christian Mendez; great-grandchildren: Naomi Elizardo, Madeline Elizardo, Alaia Elizardo, Sergio Coronado, Julian Mendez, Fabian Mendez; and numerous siblings, family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, 10:00 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Christian Rites Service will be held the same day, 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
