Oran Thomas Garrison, better known as "Jiggs", passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 16, 1935, in the Sorghum Hollow Community in Logan, County, to the late Thomas Cecil Garrison and Bertha Lena (Jones) Garrison. He was 90 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Doris Johnson, Bernice McCutcheon, and Irene McCutcheon; and two brothers, T.C. Garrison and Cleon Garrison.

Today, we lost a remarkable man. He was a true embodiment of hard work and dedication to his family, always striving to provide everything they needed. He raised three wonderful sons and a daughter, and very grateful for him. His legacy continues to inspire us every day. We will always cherish his kindness, care, and love. His large family, his children, and grandchildren will forever keep him in their hearts. Jiggs was a retired logger and cattle farmer and owned and operated Garrison Logging Company. He was an U.S. Army veteran and member of the Church of Christ. He was loved by his family very much and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Bro. Ricky White officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery in New Blaine, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. The family will visit with friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. and funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
