My husband, James Ford, Sr., our children, VaNatta, Jimmy, VoNique, and I, extend our sincere condolences to the Orell Stringer Hollingshed family and its many branches and connections in the transition of your loved one from earthly labor to heavenly reward. My Zachery family connection to Orell’s Stringer branch of her family is deep and far reaching, extending all the way back to the Glenville Settlement in Nevada County Arkansas. Although, to my knowledge, we were not related by DNA, we were family! After moving from Arkansas to Rockford, for a number of years we lived in the same neighborhood, her children attended the same school as my younger brother, Lynn, and we worshipped together at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. We were a community that cared for and loved each other, through thick and thin! May you find peace in knowing that the life she lived and the work she did speak for her!
Grace, peace, and love to you all,
Erma Zachery Ford
