Orfa Linda "Miss Linda" Brewer, respected wife, dedicated preschool Sunday School teacher, and lifelong adherent of the Baptist Faith went to the arms of God, at 5:46 p.m., Friday, March 6th, 2026. Mrs. Brewer's enduring commitment to her faith was reflected in her everyday life and kindness to all she met. Despite financial challenges requiring that she work for her livelihood, she certified as a nurse's aide and served in nursing homes until marriage.

Mrs. Brewer managed her household and took full responsibility for the upbringing of their four children.

Linda and Bob shared 66 years of wedded bliss, characterized by deep love, mutual support, faith, and companionship. Together, they raised four children, -- Brenda Bledsoe, Kenneth, Robert Jr., and Stephen Todd Brewer-all of whom have established, successful careers.

For 51 years, Mrs. Brewer served as a preschool Sunday School teacher wherever they lived. Forty-three of those years were at Hatfield First Baptist teaching generations of children the love of Jesus. Mrs. Brewer's legacy continues through her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the broader community influenced by her service and dedication. Her ability to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment left a lasting impression on those around her.

Miss Linda was a master homemaker, she raised a huge garden, canning and freezing produce and fruit, most of which she gave to family, friends, and neighbors. Linda's famous pear cobblers were relished by everyone who tasted them. She made dozens of beautiful quilts and huge Christmas stockings for each of her children, grandkids, and even great grands. She even found time to help Bob with treasure hunting at sites in OK, AR, and AZ.

Miss Linda was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.
