Orin Perry Obituary
Orin William Perry, age 91, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Americus, Ga.
Mr. Perry was born on January 1, 1934 to the late Oswald Hugh Perry and Fanny Bell Gates Perry. He went on to become a farmer for most of his life. Outside of farming, he found joy in fishing and hunting, often happiest when surrounded by nature. Orin was well known for his love of telling jokes, bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. Time spent with his family was especially precious to him, and he will be remembered as a devoted family man.
Survivors include his loving wife of 73 years, Zelma Perry; son, Chris Perry (Karin); two nieces, Debbie Perry and Melinda Perry; five grandchildren, Melissa Green, Orin Douglas Perry, Brandon Perry, Tonia Dakon, and Eric Perry; sixteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oswald and Fanny Perry; two brothers, Ray Gordan Perry and Author Perry; and son, Darryl Eugene Perry.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Ga.
