Orval Kintner

Orval L. "He's OK" Kintner, 94, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Indian Creek Convalescent Center in Corydon, IN. He was born in Louisville, KY on August 27, 1931, Orval was a lifelong member of the American Legion, was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean era, was an airplane mechanic for American Airlines, owned and operated Kintner's Standard Service Station in Corydon, IN and retired from Jim O'Neal Ford in Sellersburg, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nellie Gurley Kintner, brothers, Cecil, Kenneth and Melvin Kintner, grandsons, Michael Barth, Michael Harbeson and his best friend "Tank". Orval is survived by his loving wife, Edrie Jane Kintner of Corydon, IN; sons, Michael Kintner (June) of Georgetown, IN, Donald Kintner (Laurie Ann), Loran Kintner, and honorary son Joey Kintner (Janet) all of Corydon, IN; daughters, Janie Mauck (Bill) and Gloria Barth (Earl) all of Corydon, IN; sisters, Nellie (Kintner) Burks of Depauw, IN and Carolyn (Kintner) Lowe both of Corydon, IN; 22 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Orval Kintner's life will be celebrated at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home (318 East Chestnut Street, Corydon, Indiana 47112) on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Philip Barth will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 and again on Thursday from 10 AM until the service at 1 PM also at the funeral home in Corydon, IN.
