ORVAL MULLEN Obituary

ORVAL MULLEN 02/22/1922 - 05/15/2025 OAKWOOD - Orval H. Mullen, 103, of Oakwood, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Meadows of Delphos. He was born February 22, 1922, in Van Wert to the late Jesse and Lavina (Brunner) Mullen. On October 24, 1942, he married Luella Conley, she preceded him in death on January 18, 2016. Orval is survived by a daughter: Judy Wieging of Van Wert; a daughter-in-law: Brenda Mullen of Oakwood; four grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two sons, James Mullen and Dr. Orval Mullen; a son-in-law, Darrell Wieging; and two siblings, Raymond Mullen and a stillborn. Orval was a WWII veteran, serving in the United States Army. He worked at Mullen Archery Shop and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved archery and enjoyed his home in Florida for 20 plus years. Orval was a member of Defiance DAV, Oakwood American Legion and Van Wert VFW. No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.
