Private services for Oscar A. Handle, 96, of Lilburn, GA, formerly of Oxford, will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Forestlawn Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in Golden Springs.
Oscar passed away on February 15, 2025, at his home in Lilburn, Georgia.
Oscar earned his degree in architecture from Auburn University and had a passion for designing contemporary structures. His work included homes, churches, beach front condominiums, and stunning intra coastal developments-some of which featured rooftop pools, a groundbreaking concept in the 1960s. His innovative designs and dedication to his craft became an enduring part of his legacy, leaving a lasting impact on the architectural landscape
Oscar was a family man who cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known lovingly as Dad, GP, and GGP, he took great joy in hearing about their lives, always eager to celebrate their milestones, share in their stories, and offer his unwavering support. His love, wisdom, and encouragement were constants in their lives, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy of devotion to family.
Oscar is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by a daughter, Karla Kreitner-Grindle and Donna Grindle; a son, Alan and Michelle Handle; grandchildren, Melissa Carballo-Davis and Eltouie Davis; Samantha and Nick Rauth; Austin Handle; great-grandchildren; Eltouie Davis, Jr. and Cash Maddux Rauth.
